I'm using DD-WRT v24-sp1 (07/27/0Cool std" and I can't seem to disable ssid broadcasting. I'm using repeater bridge mode if that matters.
Also, when entering a wep key for the virtual interface it doesn't show that any key has been entered, but when I log in I have to enter the wep key.
I have a wrt54gl v1.1 that I upgraded from the wrt54g mini firmware.

Nurmero Uno... SP1 was a ruff build. Upgrade to a newer build Read the peacock sticky for file locations & recommendations.

If that still does not work, unplug the device. That always keeps the ssid from being broadcast. Razz

Hi,

SSID un-broadcast an issue for some time, apparently now fixed, per this thread:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=31133&start=60

Your WRT54GL is a very capable, standard router, so everything should work with the correct build.

See workaround in thread that is apparently effective.

Did you upgrade to newer build? If so, which one?
