i have a small home network on rogers ISP. i have a surfboard modem into #1router wrt54G into #2router wrt54g into #3router wrt54G #2 is in port 1 on #1router, #3router is in port 1 in #2router. on #2 and #3 i have a 8 port switch on each Wan port .192.168.1.1 ,192.168.1.2 ,192.168.1.3 . dhcp forward on #2 #3. all DNSmasq is off. Dns server address is set to NONE redirect issue address.all pc's static IP/DNS server. ISSUE>>>>ddwrt interface freeze's OFF/ON .all routers updated.
some one help please ...my mind is melting

List the exact model name as listed on the bottom sticker of the router and the firmware builds that they're using.

ps. See the wiki about configuring WAP's correctly, you should disable DHCP and not use forwarder mode.

lets do this step by step please . first i would asume from what u said is my ddwrt firmware om my wrt54g V6 needs to be upgraded, so im asuming this Linksys/WRT54G/v6.0/dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin/1959
is the right file for my wrt54g V6 router. and thank you for helping me out .really.

13064 has been reported to have a problem or two in regards to wireless drops. That is probably not your problem.

1st thing to do is turn off the dhcp forwarding and see where that lands you as suggested by Phuz~ in the other thread.

we'll take it from there.

ok, so i have turn'd off dhcp forwarding.and disabled dhcp on #2 & #3 .now testing.

open EI , type in 192.168.1.1 hit enter. laggy reply slowly opens. click on any tab in menu. starts loading then freezes. as it did this time after applying settings.

clear your browsers cache & cookies 1st.. now try.

still the same problem?

start with your main router / dhcp server. I assume that is the 192.168.1.1 that you refer to.

change the build.. load 12874 on it (the best build to date!)

Reconfigure by hand, do not load a config backup.

Leave the other routers alone for now except for a power cycle after 192.168.1.1 is back up.

no reason for olsrd. thought it was the newest release.
ok, cleaned with ccleaner . still same so , next step should be to change main router version i'm assuming . using this one http://www.dd-wrt.com/routerdb/de/download/Linksys/WRT54G/v6.0/dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin/1959 .

ok what i did was run ccleaner to clean cashe on browsers . try 192.168.1.1 ,didnt work , unplugged #3router #2router main, turned on main ,turned on #2 turned on #3 seems to be working . testing testing testing weeeee Smile
