Hiya, I've had a quick look through the stickied topics and briefly searched the forums & looked through the wiki but have not found any information that I would be comfortable following without first asking for advice.
In short, I have a Belkin wireless router and would like to flash it, however it doesn't match the list of supported devices completely.
Version Info
Firmware Version : F5D7230v4_UK_6.00.21
Boot Version : v1.04
Hardware : 4.00.01
Serial No. : BEL7aebbac
I've previously manually updated the firmware (auto update kept failing due to it trying to install the US version).
The label on the underside of the router reports it to be:
Model : F5D7230-4
with another label that I think says
Ver : 4000 (it is worn and a bit after it is unreadable)
In the list of supported devices, the model F5D7230-4 is listed four times but are v1000-v3000.
Would it be safe to attempt flashing it or is there a specific reason why I shouldn't attempt it?
The reason I ask is because there's no indication whether v4000 is simply untested or whether it is known to be unsupported.
Regards,
kwah
EDIT: Sorry, I only just noticed this on the incompatability list ...

Brand: Belkin

Hardware revision: v4001
Serial number or FCC-ID: K7SF5D7230A
Additional notes: Marvell 88E6060-RCJ
EDIT:
I don't know whether it will make any difference, but my hardware is 4000.1 (not 4001). v4001 is unsupported due to its Marvell chipset but how would I go about checking which one mine has?
Sorry for posting a little prematurely but thanks in advance for advice either way =]

Heya .. sorry if I haven't waited long enough for a reply (5days) as I appreciate that it isn't a question that many people will be able to answer but after the edits that I quoted this topic is more something that I tope to learn from..
