I have a WRT54G but disable reset button unwork!!! The disable reset button option under administration doesn't seem to work. I have tried v24 RC5 std, v24 std,vpn and v24 std VINT all with the same result. After holding down the reset button for 5 -10 secs the power light blinks and the device reboots to factory defaults. I have searched the forums and can't seem to find anyone else having this issue.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this or point me in the right direction.

ya thats happened to mt a few times. in Administration, does it say Reset button is disabled? if so enable it. if u want to reset your router, just unplug it for like 10 seconds, then plug it back in.

now i I set it as a startup script“killall resetbutton”,and when i holding down the reset button for 5 -10 secs ,the device do not reboots to factory defaults Laughing Laughing Laughing i think it must be prevented the "resetbutton process" from running. However, this is not resistant to holding the reset button down while plugging power into it. This probably has to do with what HolyRoses was saying.

I just don't want any chance that this device can be reset by the button. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

good idea Twisted Evil Twisted Evil !!!but i just hope ddwrt can repair this bugs,it is very important function for a administrator of networks !!!!dd-wrt by default will allow the reset button to function as an interupt during the first 5 seconds of the routers power on. This is built into the CFE and is not changeable....without changing the CFE and reflashing it.

Even if you had an image that didn't contain the resetbutton process, someone could still reset it while the CFE is booting. That cannot be changed.
