Start by clicking the wiki button on the top. Go to Install and select your router model. Read, read, read.

I suggest you try a VINT_std_generic.bin build of the firmware on the GS V1.1 unit.

hard reset, load original OEM firmware from Linksys using dd-wrt web gui, hard reset again....then configure

This model is quite simple.

If you are truly afraid to brick your router...then I suggest you don't attempt it. There is NEVER a guarantee you won't brick the router.

If you do continue (and brick it)...we can assist you with recovery...but it will take some skills on your part to do it. Unless you cause hardware damage...we can recover from pretty much any problem that occurs.

Here is a copy of the latest release of OEM firmware for your GSv1.1 unit (This firmware will work on GS V1 - V3 units.)
