The router has a built-in switch. By default only the 4 LAN ports (and wireless LAN) are part of the same broadcast domain, but you can change this behavior by enabling the WAN port to switch option. Then you have a 5 port switch.
Basically all you have to do is disable internet connection and disable DNS/DHCP. You can also disable the wireless radio if you wish.

Trying to connect to the 5th wan port without reconfiguring it is not going to work very well. I see that now.
