Hi,
As always, I did search on the forums and google for a good half hour and I didn't see anything. However, if I missed something that has been posted before let me know. Now on to my problem:
I have a simple home network with a Netgear WNR834Bv2 running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) std - build 13064 (the latest recommended for my router) and 3 computers attached via LAN. All LAN computers autonegotiate to 100Mbps, not 1000Mbps. I know for a fact that one of them is undeniably using Cat5e, but that computer is running at 100Mbps of course. The technical specs for that computer state that the network adapter is capable of 1000Mbps.
Am I missing some configuration option in DD-WRT to set my LAN speed to autonegotiate to 1000Mbps?
Further configuration information:
Router:
Netgear WNR834Bv2 running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) std - build 13064 (the latest recommended for my router)
MAC address cloning my DSL modem
Broadcasting 1 Wireless LAN and 1 Wireless VLAN (configuration details can be provided if needed)
I'm not sure of any other changes of note... specifics can be provided if needed.
Computers:
Computer 1: Undeniably running CAT5e, Speed and Duplex settings list an auto detect 1000Mbps setting but network connection status shows 100Mbps connection
Computers 2 and 3: Running unlabeled cables, Speed and Duplex settings list hard settings at 100 or 1000Mbps, but network connection status shows 100Mbps connection
Transfer speeds between computers appears to be capped at 10 MB/second according to Windows 7 file transfer dialog boxes.
the switch in the WNR834Bv2 is "only" 100mbit.
It`s not "Gigabit".
If you want 1000mbit you have to buy another router. _________________ Netgear WNR834B v2 - Eko build v24-sp2 15943M mini NEWD K2.4 (running MINIUPNPD)

I know what you think...
But for me this thing is doing a good job, it`s running very stable with dd-wrt. _________________ Netgear WNR834B v2 - Eko build v24-sp2 15943M mini NEWD K2.4 (running MINIUPNPD)
