hello,
i ve bought an dir300 and flash now dd-wrt on it.

i want to use the client mode.

i use up to now an asus w320gE.

it is really easy to configure the asus in the client mode.
the ip config from the asus is in the same network, although the connected devices are in the same network.

now i ve read the dd-wrt howto:

Code:

What this means is, if the primary router has an IP of 192.168.A.X, you need to set the client router to an IP of 192.168.B.X.

is this realy neccessary.
why is the asus in the same subnet and the dd-wrt device in an different subnet?

can i configure the dir300 to the same subnet?

greetings and thanks a lot

What you want to set up is called Client Bridged mode.
