|
I current have a Apple AirPort Extreme router and I'd like to run a dual router setup and add a DD-WRt router for my VPN.
At the moment my speeds wireless without VPN are 90-110mbps. When I connect to VanishIP via app I drop down to 15MBPS.
Would getting a certain flash router help with the speeds - if so what's suggested to keep those speeds up?
Any help is appreciated |

The ranking by speed of the Processors is IPQ8065, Marwell and Broadcom
So the fastest routers is Netgear R7800 (IPQ), R7500 (IPQ), WRT1900ACS (MW), R7000 (BCM) |

With 128-AES-CBC the WRT1900ACS can do 100+ Mbps. I personally test these at this speed through PIA and other VPN's.
The WRT1200AC can do 85+
The R7000 (Not Overclocked) does about 45
The R6300v2 does about 30 Average.
The Asus RT-AC68U can do 65+
Don't argue with me on this, I know my stuff. :p _________________ My Karma ran over your Dogma

I went with the Nighthawk X4 R7500v2.
Is this DD-WRT ready? |
