Update

So it has been more than twelve hours since i installed this build and configured it how i normally do and i haven't had one drop or GUI crash and it seems to be running okay with the exception of one error on the TX of wl1 while wl0 has none.

I have also noticed that wl0 & wl1 TX still transmits even after the devices have left the network as before but now it stops but after like say half of an hour.

Hope the above noobery helps the devs. Still using the firmware and i am waiting on the next version and devs. alternate some r&r for yourselves.

So did the GUI crash mentioned in previous replies happen only to Netgear routers?

For the records, Asus released new firmware to RT-N18U on 19 Jun 2017, with the following fixes:

Code:
ASUS RT-N18U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.7743 Security fixed:
- Fixed CVE-2017-8828 (XSS vulnerability)
- Fixed CVE-2017-5892 (JSONP Information Disclosure)
- Fixed CVE-2017-7494 (Samba remote code execution vulnerability)

(
BTW, I think my last reply was deleted or moved. I was asking whether a build should be marked "not usable". I think it's build 32737 which is now deleted.

New build: DD-WRT v3.0 --- 32737 --- 2017/07/18 (DELETED)
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=310219
)

Flashed this build after r31899 to a WRT610NV1 functioning as an accesspoint. Now there is no UI, can somebody tell how to recover in this case.

I can now only telnet the router...

Thanks!

Hi,i can tell you how i recover it.
At first, make a 30/30/30 reset following these URL https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Hard_reset_or_30/30/30.

1) You need a WindowsXP machine. My Windows 10 machines do not perform the correct action, maybe yours should Wink

2) Set network card with DHCP and a 10 Mb speed (Full Duplex)

3) Save the previous working ddwrt firmware files in the pc

4) Unplug the power chord from router

5) Plug the power chord and after 2 seconds (no one more, just when all led blink off) press the reset microswitch button for 5 seconds (no one more)

6) Open the browser on 192.168.1.1, choose the previous working saved file then click "Apply" and wait.

7) You have back a working router.

Cool If nothing appear when you pointing to 192.168.1.1 try again, you need exactly the correct time (2sec/5sec) while you performing actions.

For me this steps "save" my router.
I hope work for you.
Regards.

Thank You for the advice!

Finally a version of your recommended unbrick method worked and now the router is back on r32170.

Regards,
Daniel

Hmm, really? I have wifi card Killer 1535 and can reach more than 800mbps on original firmware. Can you please show your config?

7 errors in 12 hours is completely worthless of being discussed.
PS. why have you got manual Tx at 100mw if I may ask?

It wasn't being discussed, it was just mentioned as part of information sharing.

Thanks for your screenshots. I need to change Regulatory Domain to US then I can change Wireless Channel (It was Auto and there was only 1 option). It is at 866Mbps now

Your welcome, yeah the regulatory domain plays a major part in it, if you choose a country that has no restrictions you can get full 1300 all the time but IMO that really isn't needed when devices are not using the network.

how about new technology according to subject

FAST NAT QCA SFE ( similiar to CTF)

are you made some tests?

cheers!

I'm interested too in this implementation. I have an E3000 in K2.6 r32597 because I have an 200Mbit connection so I need the most I can squeeze (tested K3.X but lost a lot of speed as is normal).

So how is the status of that implementation?
(hope that implementation is for my device too and I'm not saying stupid things)

If is someone tested TL901 v1 v3,TL743v2,TL941 v3.2 v3.5 v3.6,TLWR740N v4

please tell me test results i have small buget but i wanna be up to date, don't wanna be bricked again Sad

I decided to test this build (Kernel 3.X) last night on my E3000 and far so good, only have the web GUI problems but that I can live with!

Tested the SFE and right now is working perfectly. I did a 2Gb download on steam and it marked almost 160Mbs on my 200Mbps connection! (in Kernel 3.X without SFE I get only in 80Mbs)

On stock I was getting 180Mbs so right now I am very happy! Very Happy
