I am running the same wds setup, except with 2 r7500v2. My problem is ipv6 not working. Did your ipv6 work with r32590m? I know your main is r7800 so that's might be the difference.
Did anybody get ipv6 working with ifconfig eth0 promisc ?
I've got an R7500v2 and I'm using Kong's 32170M build. (I had the 32590, and had no problems, but I got scared by what everyone else was experiencing, so I rolled back.) I've got IPv6 working using promiscuous mode, as you mentioned. I talked about this in another thread, if that helps.

Thanks so much. For whatever reason, ifconfig eth0 promisc in the admin-command did not work for me. Tried it several times, reboot modem, router, windows. Nothing worked.
Will try your alternate technique using rdisc6 when possible. For the time being I am sticking with r32590m instead of rolling back. _________________ Netgear R7800(2), R7500v2(2) WDS, Asus RT-AC68R (2)
But not seeing any issue with shortcut-fe, except the non working incoming qos limit. Not sure if BS can reproduce the reported issue.
New Kong TEST build 07/21 r32780M runs well though httpd seems a bit sluggish than the stable build.
The link is gone now just flashed it 5 mins ago... Anything wrong Kong??
I just uploaded for a quick test for myself, final build will follow, which has sfe enabled even if qos is enabled. _________________ KONG PB's: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/

Ok now running the latest official build r32780M. Are you sure QoS is working with sfe on? I'm getting D-F for buffer bloat test, while getting A consistently before.

cause it only half works with qos.. uplink only not downlink, turn off sfe & downlink will work again _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

So how come it worked well with the previous 32590M build? same exact settings...
I do not have a problem, just tested with the R7800, only downstream latency increases a bit.
if ur lucky to have a decent isp that knows something about bufferbloat, many dont. letting isp handle downlink bufferbloat i get +60ms avg, qos beats it by alot giving +15~20ms avg instead. our other (dsl) isp gives +85ms with jitter everywhere _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Usually if your ISP provides SIP, then they apply qos, if no sip, then usually there is no qos at all.
Regarding the httpd hang/crash whatever I need to know if it is reproducable with my build. I run several syntetic tests that can of course only analyze the code I compile and analyze my running build. Since BS includes other features the webif contains different parts of code that may still have issues.

I have a 3 tb hd ntfs with a bunch of movies. What the easiest way to attach it to the r7500v2 router usb? I read about optware and just wondered if that's the only way to mount the usb drive? _________________ Netgear R7800(2), R7500v2(2) WDS, Asus RT-AC68R (2)
