I read in a tutorial "Make sure you do not have an OpenVPN connection running at the same time as a PPTP connection."

I'm afraid this is exactly what I do right now... In the WAN setup of DD-WRT I had to choose PPTP as connection type and entered my credentials. After that I set up my Open VPN connection in the Services/VPN tab. I get a "Client: CONNECTED SUCCESS" message in the Status/OpenVPN tab.

Does that mean I'm running PPTP and OpenVPN at the same time? How do I disable PPTP? Or what kind of other connection type should I choose from the list?

And finally: How do i tell whether I'm brwosing the web using my OpenVPN connection versus PPTP?

My router is a LinksysWRT3200ACM and I'm running the latest beta version 09/11/2017 of DD-WRT.

Thanks!
