Has anyone tried running the x86 dd-wrt on the appletv? It might be difficult with the EFI firmware but it could certainly be done. The appletv has wireless-n, an ethernet port, and a very powerful processor. A second ethernet port could be added via USB and it would make a great project box because of the HDD. Best of all, it can be had for under $200.

I use an appletv running linux as a HD mythtv frontend and it works great.
