My card has AR5212 chipset and works fine, so i would guess the same goes for AR5212A.
As for your other topic, I'm pretty sure the Atheros driver only loads if your activated.

Supports a/g/b modes, so that equals 108Mbit, 54Mbit, 11Mbit.
On my setup i'm running in g mode, speeds are usually around 20Mbit/s. |

Good day,
I can confirm that my Senoa (based on AR5212A-00 chipset) is working fine with DD-WRT x86.
