I am trying to install dd-wrt v24 SP1 on a Wrap 2E. I am using dd, under linux (and also tried under OSX) to write the public image to the Compact Flash card.
The write goes fine (dd if=image of=device), but problems appear when i attempt to boot the device as i monitor the output from the serial.
Here is what i get.
Any Suggestions?

This output is much longer in length and continues over and over again as it power cycles. Why am I getting Jibberish?

Thanks for any help.

my console looks the same if I use a serial cable. WRAP baud is 38400, null modem cable. Maybe this is helpful. Also, mine stopped rebooting when I removed a minipci card or upped the juice on the power supply.

DD-WRT changes baudrate to 115200 as soon it starts to boot (after the grub), hence you see grub good but nonsense after that.

So set baudrate to 115200 and then it should look fine.

Thanks for the help! Now it boots and i can read the output. But I have one more problem.
Shouldnt the extra space on the CF be available for ipkg to use?
here is my output of df and mount
root@DD-WRT:/usr/local# df
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
rootfs 7296 7296 0 100% /
/dev/root 7296 7296 0 100% /
/dev/discs/disc0/part3
15125 40 14304 0% /usr/local
root@DD-WRT:/usr/local# mount
rootfs on / type rootfs (rw)
/dev/root on / type squashfs (ro)
none on /dev type devfs (rw)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
ramfs on /tmp type ramfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw)
/dev/discs/disc0/part3 on /usr/local type ext2 (ro)

should the partition mounted to /usr/local be mounted as rw?

ohh, and i have v1.11 on the wrap, isnt that the most recent bios afaik?

There is instructions somewhere at the forums but I haven't still tested... Anyways only thing you should need is to make partition 3 more larger and mount it as RW.
