I have a PC-Engines ALIX 2C 128MB running SVN25309 for use as an OpenVPN Server. The unit is dedicated and sits behond a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH.

1 - The Geode processor has hardware support for AES-128-cbc encryption. Is this being used by DD-WRT either by default or design? If not is there a way to configure this?

2 - Performance -
I get about 5Mbps in both directions when testing with Speedtest.Net
I get anywhere from 8-22Mbps when testing with Tutosoft Lanspeed test (internaly). Results vary greatly.
The bandwidth appears very jagged in both caeses.

hi

badly we dont support the hw acceleration. i wish we would.
but then we had to include alle techniques (via, amd, etc) on the market...which should be no problem at all on x86/x64 imho.

maybe you should get some allys, do a poll in the forum and open a ticket in trac on this. if there enough requests the dev might include it.
i would vote for it too Smile

Thanks for your support.

I am not smart enough to know what platforms have hardware acceleration either in the CPU or on the MB in some other form. I realize that Intel/AMD use AES-IN most new processors that would be covered in the X86 forum. I think that ARM also uses a variation of AES. Not sure about others?

Which Forum(s) do you think is the best to get the most "views"?

How long should I wait to open a ticket?

I have read the ticket 4074. It references SVN 26713 which I do not see here: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2015/

Based upon the note and lack of file can I assume the SVN was pulled for problems, and that I will need to wait until the note has been addressed for a functioning version?

How do I "maualy load the module"?
Administration=>Commands or via Console?

Am I correct that the other modules are for the Soekris 1411 (hifn_795x.ko)and PC_Engines APU (padlock-aes.ko, padlock-sha.ko)?
