Just tried latest public:
DD-WRT X86 Public Vga: Console image
dd-wrt_public_vga.image
2010-08-09 11,00 MB

The problem occurs when torrent client is running (easiest to try high network load). On Xeon system 3,3ghz (it should be enough for anything), dd-wrt can only manage ~1-1.5Mbs. System shows high irq usage and everything lags.

Is there a fix for this?

That is 3 year old build and definitely not the latest public vga build for x86.

V24-preSP2 › 2013 › 07-24-2013-r22118 › x86

Problems:

only legacy network supported -> i quess this is the problem for ksoftirqd service
now vga in virtual mashine window does not work (can connect over LAN)

Still, firmware is useless for usage because of poor performance Sad

VGA is not the biggest problem, the huge problem is LAN's poor performance. I would really consider buying licence if it only worked (don't need gbs speeds, but 1-1,5mbs is not acceptable). It's strange, how nobody experienced high cpu load using it...
