This thread is specifically for the front panel LED daemon. Now that the code has gained a bit of maturity, I thought it deserved its own thread for a bit more visibility, so here it is.
So, I figured I would dust off my rusty C skills and tackle the challenge of making a daemon to gather the necessary values from the OS and use them to update the front panel LEDs. The LEDs display the CPU LOAD, the overall network traffic, custom firewall events as well as basic status. The code is open and shared here:
The download section has a number of pre-compiled binaries available. It is meant to compile and run under Linux and FreeBSD. For Linux, both uClibc and (e)glibc are supported.
