Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't think it would handicap my speeds as much. I'll be waiting for your stripped firmware!

Does anyone of you know if the limitations are generally affecting latest broadcom chips or if they are device specific issues?

Updated to v3.0-r28320.

Wifi always the same.
Now the C8 can't see no more the usb. Tried 2 usb pen drive (4 and 8 gb) formatted with fat32 and ntfs.

another test about usb and samba.

In USB page I have "Disk Info" with "not available"
BUT now I can use Samba in Windows.
I can see the shared folder with both the \\ip and \\hostname with no error from windows.

Samba works with usb support enabled and disabled too.

Updated to v3.0-r28366 (11/27/15)

Wifi always the same. Slow speed. Max 400Mbit with AC and 80mhz.
Now with "USB support enabled" I can see the pen drive in "Disk info" but Samba works with both usb support enabled or disabled.

Then I guess you have the wrong path set in your samba config.

I tried 2 shared folders at the same time with one usb drive. The first /mnt with a name and the second /mnt/sda1 with another name and both work. I can see them in windows using both //ip and //hostname.

If I disable only the usb support and no samba...I always have the 2 shared folders visible in Windows.

Is it a bug or normal?

I don't quite understand this comment. When reading through the comments, they seem to indicate the 400 Mbps limit is on the LAN. Normally one would only be using the NAT when going to the WAN... So why would the speed of wireless devices be limited to 400 Mbps on the LAN?

BTW. 400 Mbps = 80 MB/s. Which I imagine exceeds most home users broadband. But if you are streaming files from a NAS drive SSD, you probably want more speed...

The limit is on CPU. No hardware NAT acceleration in dd-wrt

@h8red, I don't get what your question adds to what KrypteX said other than repeating like a parrot.

@docbill, about the 400mbps limit I think you refer to elbrus77 user, he doesn't states what kind of testing he was doing.

P.S. Why would one need more than 80MB/s for streaming?.
