Hello Guys,
i'm using DDWRT since several years on TP-Link Hardware which worked always fine (also PPTP).
Now i want to create a "Gaming" Vpn on my Proxmox Hypervisor which is hosted in a datacenter.
Following Problem:
I have installed a virtual Machine with DDWRT x86 v24-sp2.
This virtual Machine is connected on NIC1 to the "WAN" (internal MGMT LAN) and on NIC2 to the "VPN LAN"
NIC1: WAN (10.10.10.x)
NIC2: VPN LAN (192.168.5.x)
The network connectivity is working well and all traffic from the VPN LAN will routed fine to the WAN Network.
The PPTP Server is enabled but if i try to connect from a Win10 Client or iPhone the Tunnel could not be established.
WIN10 Error Message: "A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed"
No Matter if i try to connect from another VM in the same VM Network or via Public IP of my main firewall wich forwards PPTP (+GRE) to the WAN interface of my DDWRT VM.
When i'm trying to connect to the PPTP Server a new process on DDWRT appears:
"pptpd [X.X.X.X:B531 - 0380]
/usr/sbin/pppd local file /tmp/pptpd/options.pptpd 11"
"X.X.X.X" stands for the IP-Adress im connection from.
Unhappily there are no log files with more information... this is all i know...
The Reason i want to use DDWRT for this scenario is the PPTP Server with Broadcast and RADIUS support.
