Hello,

I just installed dd-wrt.v24-31221_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin firmware to try it with my LTE USB modem E3276. I plugged the modem in USB port, found the mobile broadband options for WAN and configured it the same way I do for my PC (PIN, APN, dial number settings) and went to WAN Status but after clicking Connect it just refreshes the site with Login status: Disconnected.

The firmware is:
Firmware: dd-wrt.v24-31221_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin

Hardware:
Linksys E3000
Huawei E3276

The status says something like:
Connection type 3G/UMTS and
Signal status: -40DBm

But those settings are the same regardless the modem is connected or not.

I've searched already for some answer and found that e4200 worked with the E3276 usb modem with the build dd-wrt.v24-24461_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e4200.bin. Should I try installing the build 24461 for the router E3000 or is there a confirmed build that i should install which works with E3276?

Thanks

Try 25527; it appears this is still an issue. If so, you can add this info to the ticket.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I flashed the build 25527 and now the status has changed to connected and it has also got a wan ip displayed on the top right of the page but I still can access internet over lan or wifi. Can't figure out the issue. Any ideas for solution?

Did you do a reset after flashing (just in case), prior to manual setup (don't save/restore settings across versions)?

I haven't messed w/ a USB modem in a long time, and it was brief testing... is DHCP enabled?

I did not hard reset the router before or after flash. So I tried hard reset and flashed the build again and then did another hard reset but still the same result. DHCP is enabled.
It seems there is a very minor issue but how can we troubleshoot?

USB modems are configured in the Lib3g.c. A lot of work is done by LOM and Brainslayer. see: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/30950
You could open a ticket in the bugtracker: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/
