|
SETUP:
DD-WRT r33375
Use DNSMasq for DHCP - checked
Use DNSMasq for DNS - checked
DHCP Authoritative - checked
I had a new security system installed, and the control panel grabbed a random IP before I could configure a static lease for it.
Nothing I've tried has forced the panel to take the desired IP. A local DNS query will return the hostname with the random IP, even though the static lease is set for another.
Here's the line from the DNSMasq Leases table:
10800 xx:xx:xx:e2:bd:c6 192.168.1.127 alarm *
This is the current address of the control panel.
Here's the entry from DNSMasq.conf:
dhcp-host=xx:xx:xx:e2:bd:c6,alarm,192.168.1.10,180m
.10 is the address I'd LIKE to assign.
Note that I set a least time of three hours, thinking that with DHCP Authoritative checked off, it would force the client to request a new address at the end of that time. Hasn't worked.
It the device in question were a PC, or something else I could shutdown and reboot, the problem would likely fix itself. At this point, not an option with the control panel.
Thought/suggestions would be much appreciated! _________________ Router: Linksys WRT1900ACSv2
