I would love so much, to be able, to install on my WRT 32X DDWRT, sadly, nothing I found after many hours I researched, worked...I would be very happy, if someone of you DD-WRT Pros, could hint me to a link, or information, how to get DD-WRT on my Linksys WRT 32X

Thanks Mark1958 ....what a pitty.. as I found a ddwrt_factory.bin on the ftp DD-WRT server, wondering why its there, if there is no way to get DDWRT on it... Thanks again, will have to get rid of the WRT X32 then sadly...

How long have you had it ?? can you return it ??
From what I have read the WRT3200Acm is basically the same router and it can be flashed with DD-Wrt, so that could be another route.

Hi Mark1958, Ijust got it yesterday, I bought it from eBay ..was a special price 189 Euros, normally it is arround 230 Euro in Europe, its sad, as I thought, it would work, as I have seen on DD-WRT ftp server the factory-to-ddwrt.bin for the x32 in their Betas folder, i thought it will work.

Not blaming anyone, but a pain for me, as I cant give it back with the conditions I got from salesperson from eBay... so...only chance...I sell it with a loss of money for me...and save again new for a 3200ACM then...

Someone, I saw, said, its possible with a serial cable...but I have a MacPro 2013...and dont want risk buying now a serial adapter...when then, it might be not working neither... Thanks a bunch for you help, greetings from Berlin, Germany

Thanks ghoffman, Ill try it...hope it doesnt brick my router...wondering why there are nowhere very clear instructions... you have to seek pieces here, and other pieces of info on other places...

Ill let you know, if it worked, so as I understand, I have first to put on my WRT 32x the firmware from the 3200 and then go on to DD-WRT

Hi, Everyone.
Linksys official firmware is supported in DD-WRT firmware. The WRT supports currently available 3rd party firmware if the serial number starts with 19810 since it has the original flash memory. If the serial number starts with 19811 SN flash, it has a newer flash memory which is why currently available 3rd party firmware does not work. The OpenSource community is responsible for providing firmware fix for the 19811 SN flash memory. The community usually takes a bit of time to produce new firmware that will work when changes like this occur. We recommend reaching out to the OpenSource community for updates.
