The .image file is not a CD image at all.
1) download damn small linux and burn it on a cd
2) boot from the cd
3) start firefox and download DD-WRT X86
4) on desktop right click the terminal icon and choose: as superuser (or run terminal and run 'sudo su')
5) type: Code: dd if=dd-wrt_public_vga.image of=/dev/hda
6) shut down and reboot from HD
7) connect a computer to the router and login with http://192.168.1.1 (User: root Pass: admin) _________________ (05/02/17) std - 31924

Download it wherever you want. You just need to be in the directory that you saved dd-wrt_public_vga.image in to be able to write it to the hard drive. _________________ (05/02/17) std - 31924
