An R7000 r53305 router yesterday stopped accepting logins.
After more failed login attempts it rejected browser connections altogether.
Thinking that something in the browser cache was the cause tried other cleared cache browsers without success.
Swapped out the R7000 for a backup router then bench tested the R7000 r53305 router with a laptop - still can not connect.
If the problem cannot be determined I will re-flash it from backup and see what happens.
Questions:
- Is this a r53305 bug or what?
- Is there any way to diagnose it?
- How can the router be pre-configured to allow access by another means in case this happens again? _________________ DD-WRT v3.0-r43334 std (06/04/20)

X failed attempts results in lockout for webUI and telnet/ssh access (for at least 5 minutes). Continued 'brute force attempts' add additional time. Patience. Wait until the lockout clears. Also, any password management mechanism should be avoided, hence private browsing modes / no add-ons installed or enabled / portable browser recommendations have been made many times. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Not sure what you've been doing. No nvram anything involved, it's all internal code. Use Private browsing modes, no addons or extensions loaded, and isolated completely from all other web traffic, wired connection preferred. Normally, private browsing mode does not keep history or cache. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
