x86 install wont save changes

I can't save changes. Everytime I reboot router I get change password prompt. And all settings are back to default.

u didnt hit apply to activate the settings!

Yes. Save then apply everything is fine until I reboot router. Then it is back to default even username and password.

AMD Athlon 1ghz, 20 gig western digital HD, gigabyte motherboard, 256 meg ram. 2 nic cards 1-kingston 1-dlink

Yes, hdd. I have seen where other people have used hard drives. I will check mb for updated bios.

no, i can be a coruppted nvram. not to store the settings. did u try to reflash?

Yes, I have reflased several times. You may have something about nvram. On monitor it says (cp: cannot stat ' /etc/nvram' : Value too large for defined data type).

Well maybe it is "just" bad luck and it is failing hard drive, but anyways you could totally "zero" your HDD and then "reflash" DD-WRT in and try again... Or try another HD etc... I can't figure out anything else now :-/

GOT IT!!!!
I zeroed the drive out with kill disk. reflashed, everything is working fine.
