I'm getting disconnected quite often while using bittorrent - sometimes every few minutes. What's interesting is that the problem itself is new - torrents worked fine till a few days ago.
I have put the connections on the router at 4096 with a timeout of 120, my settings in tcp_timeouts are as recommended in the wiki.
Each time I disconnect, syslogd reports:
Code:

I'm using Azureus as my bt client, and it's set to use 80 connections max for each torrent, with a max of 2000 globally (I know that's a bit high, but usually I don't have that much torrents running, so what I see in the dd-wrt status panel is around 300-400 when I disconnect). Any help? And yes, I've tried reading the wiki and doing everything there - no good.

try to directly connect your pc to your modem and see if the problem still exists.
If yes you have a problem with your modem/ line.

Well, I happen to work for my ISP, so I know it's not a problem with the line or the modem. The modem is fine, and the line is excellent. When the router disconnect, it only disconnects from PPPoE, and not from the line itself. I can even see it happen in the Router Status screen - suddenly, the PPPoE is disconnected.

change to 4096 and set the tcp/udp timeouts to 120 and save settings.

That answer was already given in the opening post.
Some people claimed to get better results when switching from Azureus to uTorrent.
*EDIT* some more about rp-pppoe: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6064
